EDIT: I now have a plot!
Thrall is a servant-slave to an unimportant Lord in the important but boring and well-protected agricultural valley of Dunna. A young woman, she has often considered fleeing the utter boredom of her home and chores, but never done it.  But when the Lord is called to an important meeting, he choses her as one of his travelling servant-slaves. And the rest of the world is certainly not as boring as Dunna was...

November is closing in, and in just a week NaNoWriMo begins. For those of you who don't know what that is, NaNoWriMo -or NaNo for short- stands for National Novel Writing Month. You have all 30 days of November to write a rough first draft of a novel, at fifty thousand words or more. That equals some 1667 words each day for a month.
I know what you think, this is utter madness. And it is. Fortunately, you don't have to be slightly unhinged to participate. You don't even need a plot! Throw yourself at it, forget your social life (and often sleep) for thirty days and nights and join the thousands of enthusiastic writers as we all scramble to reach the goal of 50k.

Now I sound like an advertisement

The POINT is that it's super awesome and you should all seriously join at www.nanowrimo.org . My name there is (surprise, surprise) Lizardhound. I hang out in the Plot Doctoring forums and other places like that, helping people, getting help from people and generally learning a lot I probably don't need to know. Just being there, even when you don't write, is one of the best writing experiences you can have.

So. I don't have a plot yet and I'm considering Rebelling, that is taking an unfinished NaNovel and continuing. It'll sure be easier, because I'm 21k words into it. But I don't really want to...

Yeah. Go add me if you're already on NaNoWriMo, join if you aren't and want to have a go or just help people.
Good luck and Keelah Se'lai.

If you fail as a writer (though I don't think it's very likely), or just need money, you should totally work with writing advertisements! XD What you wrote there was scarily convincing. Like, seriously.
